The laser diode pre-amp function is built in to the SAF784x and is illustrated in
The current, up to 120 mA, can be regulated in four steps ranging from 58 % up to full
power. The voltage derived from the monitor diode is maintained at a steady state by the
laser drive circuitry, regulating the current through the laser diode.
The following sections give a top-level description of the individual blocks.
The ARM7TDMI-S microprocessor is a member of the ARM family of 32-bit processors.
The ARM processor offers a high performance with low power consumption and low gate
