High-speed PTP Start Procedure
1. Common parameter settings
2. Axis parameter settings
3. Data transfer
4. Saving data
5. Restart of the PCU
6. Put the driver in operating status.
7. Execution of origin search
8. Setting of Direct Operation Command memory area
9. Starting direct operation (high-speed PTP)
You can start direct operation with an IOWR instruction, in addition to using the absolute
movement bit or relative movement bit in [Direct Operation Command Memory Area].
In the case of an IOWR instruction, you can start positioning when you execute an instruction
in a ladder program.
This section explains the high-speed PTP start procedure with an IOWR instruction.
High-speed PTP start is a function to execute absolute movement or relative movement via
direct operation using an IOWR instruction.
The procedures and operations, except for startup, are the same as those when you use the
absolute movement bit or relative movement bit in [Direct Operation Command Memory Area].
You can use high-speed PTP start along with the absolute movement bit or relative movement
bit in [Direct Operation Command Memory Area].
This section explains the procedure to perform high-speed PTP start.
Steps 1 to 8 are the same as those in "Direct Operation Procedure" on page 6-1.
To perform direct operation, be sure to set the 3 areas: [Manual Operation Command Memory
Area], [Direct Operation Command Memory Area] and [Axis Status Memory Area].
For the setting of areas, refer to "Common Parameters" on page 5-6.
Set the axis parameters for maximum speed, pulse output method, etc.
For the axis parameters, refer to "Axis Parameters" on page 5-13.
Transfer to the PCU the common parameter and axis parameters you set.
Save the data to the flash memory in the PCU.
Set the command position, command speed, acceleration time, deceleration time and other
data in [Direct Operation Command Memory Area].
Execute high-speed PTP start via an IOWR instruction.
