The user can keep account of the number of User Cells that have been filtered out by the Transmit User Cell
Filter by periodically reading out the contents of the “Transmit ATM Filter Count” Registers. Each time a user
cell is filtered (e.g., either discarded or copied) by the “Transmit User Cell” Filter, then this counter will be
incremented by the value of “1”. This counter will increment until it reaches the value of 0xFFFFFFFF. At this
time, the counter will “saturate” and will not increment any further until read. These registers are 32 bits, in
width and are “RESET-upon-READ.
