6. PROGRAMMING MODEL
The DS2156 register map is divided into three groups: T1 specific features, E1 specific features, and
common features. The typical programming sequence begins with issuing a reset to the DS2156, selecting
T1 or E1 operation in the master mode register, enabling T1 or E1 functions and enabling the common
functions. The act of resetting the DS2156 automatically clears all configuration and status registers.
Therefore, it is not necessary to load unused registers with 0s.
