21C.13 Programmer Mode
In programmer mode, a PROM programmer can be used to perform programming/erasing via a
socket adapter, just as for a discrete flash memory. Use a PROM programmer that supports the
Renesas Electronics's 256-kbyte flash memory on-chip MCU device type (FZTAT256V5A).
21C.13.1 Socket Adapter and Memory Map
In programmer mode in which the PROM writer is used, reading from memory (verification),
writing, and initializing the flash memory (erasing all of its contents) are enabled. At this time, a
dedicated conversion socket adapter must be attached to a general-purpose PROM writer. Table
21C-13 shows the types of the socket adapters. For programmer mode on this LSI, one of the
socket adapters listed in table 21C-13 should be used.
