Byte
octet-delineated data provided by the clock recovery front-end. This block also
performs the pointer processing and generates row and byte counts to identify
locations within the frame to the SONET overhead processor. The SONET
Framer block interfaces directly with the SONET Overhead block and provides
status bits to the SONET overhead processor for presentation in status registers.
The SONET Overhead block uses defined overhead bytes in an STS-3c/STM-1
frame for Performance Monitoring, Fault Management, and Facility Testing. The
