Debug Support
32.1
This chapter describes the ColdFire Revision A enhanced hardware debug support in the
MCF5235. The organization of this chapter is as follows:
32.1.1
The integration of the eTPU and the ColdFire core has created the need for integrated debug
capability. This new integrated debug will provide a unified programming model for both the
ColdFire core and eTPU debug registers. The ColdFire status/debug output port (PSTDDATA)
will be shared for access of both processor debug messages via programmable control. Integrated
debug support will allow users to debug both processors with a single emulator.
