Similar to memory referencing BDM commands, reads of eTPU engine debug module registers
do not return data immediately. The debug module responds with ’NOT READY’ after the
RDMREG command until the data is returned. The command sequence is illustrated in
Figure
32.5.3.3.12 Write Debug Module Register (
The operand (longword) data is written to the specified debug module register. All 32 bits of the
register are altered by the write. DSCLK must be inactive while the debug module register writes
from the CPU accesses are performed using the WDEBUG instruction.

The contents of the selected debug register are returned as a longword value.
The data is returned most-significant word first. For byte-sized eTPU
engine debug registers, the returned data is left-justified in the 32-bit
longword operand and the rest of the returned operand is undefined.
