The function of each block is described below.
• PLL circuit 1

• Divider
PLL circuit 1 multiplies the frequency of the external crystal oscillator and the clock input on
the EXTAL pin by 24.
PLL circuit 2 coordinates the phases of the bus clock (Bck) and the clock signal output from
the CLKOUT pin that is used as the external peripheral interface clock.
Used when a crystal resonator is connected to the XTAL and EXTAL pins. Use of the crystal
oscillator circuit can be selected with the MODE8 pin.
The divider generates the CPU clock (Ick), SuperHyway clock (SHck), on-chip peripheral
module clock (Pck), DDR memory clock (DDRck), and external bus clock (Bck). The division
ratio is selected by the mode pin MODE0, MODE1, MODE2, MODE7.
